A samovar is of Russian origins and loosely translates to “self-boiler” in English.
The unique feature of this appliance is that it boils water and holds tea at the same time, doing both the job of teapot and kettle!
A pipe runs through the middle, boiling the water. At the top sits a place for tea concentrate to be held.
Traditionally, a samovar was used for important guests, but is now commonly used in Russian homes.
